Storage Technologies

When people talk about storage technologies the immediate focus is on batteries – and rightly so as they are the perfect accompaniment to many projects, and projects themselves in their own right when integrated correctly.

However, at Galetech Energy Services we are involved in a number of projects that are based on ‘other’ storage technologies – predominantly pumped hydro storage. This experience has allowed us to develop an in-house niche understanding of the elements of storage projects along with their challenges and opportunities.

In addition to pumped hydro we have been involved in the feasibility stage of projects that explored other storage options such as compressed air storage, gravity weight storage and molten salts.
